2017 Granite Games Teams of 3 Qualifier Workout 5

This Saturday CrossFit Green Bay has the awesome opportunity to host a workout on the Main Street Bridge in downtown Green Bay thanks to Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine and their Open Streets event.  We will have a free workout open to the public in front of Neville Museum at 10:30am sharp. Bring your family and friends to participate; no experience necessary.
CrossFit Green Bay will have a booth set up in the museum parking lot from 9am-1pm where you can bring a friend to learn a new movement, or challenge your buddies to a liftoff.
We will be canceling all regularly scheduled classes that day to encourage our members to come out the bridge! Barbell will still be held at regular time.

Final 3 Granite Games Workouts have been released and workouts 4 and 6 will take place Friday. They are all due the 17th and if you are unable to do them Friday please contact myself or Justin and we will see you get an opportunity to get them completed prior to the deadline. Also, if you squatted with Knee Wraps you will need to squat again as the Granite Games deemed them illegal. Sleeves are still allowed.
All members participating in the Granite Games in September please post your names below as Steve Kaster has offered his services to coach you all in swimming. Steve has spoken with Ashwaubenon about using their pool. Cost is $100 for 90 minutes and that is for the entire pool. So post your names below and we will get a text message group set up asap. Steve coached our 2014 CrossFit Games Team and he definitely helped 1 member of the team not drown! (Justin:) Thank you Steve.

Is it $100 for a team of 3 or a $100 flat fee for 90 min use of the pool regardless of the number of participants? Reason I ask: If Steve would agree I think it'd be a nice idea to hold a "Swimming Seminar" for those interested in getting some swim coaching outside of a games training environment. I know I haven't had a swim class since I was 7 or 8 years old and still swim with my head above water (not efficient). If enough people were interested and the cost would only be a cumulative $100 then why not? Just a thought.

Brittany Nohr 3:25AM on Jul 13, 2017

According to what the Ashwaubenon aquatics director told me it is $100 (she might have said $95) TOTAL to rent the entire pool for 90 minutes. I'll cover the cost of the first rental. If we decide to have additional sessions, we'll split the $100 based on the number attending. I'm not sure if there's an extra charge for the lifeguards that are required to be on the pool deck - didn't sound like it, but that would be the only other possible cost I was made aware of. Someone asked if I was charging for my time and coaching - NO. Once we have all athletes identified I'll start the process of firming up pool time. I'm going to try for a 5:30 am time slot on a weekday and/or a 1 or 2 pm slot on a Sunday. The actual time will be based on pool availability and required lifeguards availability. I'm willing to hold a few workouts over a few weeks if desired and if the pool is available. Looking forward to it. See me with questions. More to come. Thanks

Ted and I also want to offer our backyard/lake for Steve's Granite Games Training if it's helpful since I heard the workout is in open water (?)
