Open Workout 17.1

Well it’s here. A whole bunch of dumbbell snatches and burpee box overs. This is a back breaker so when that db gets above your noggin break that wrist right down towards mother earth, unlock those knees and keep that bar db path close to the body. Keep that line tight from your head to your knees getting up from those burpees. When you jump on that box stay as low and springy as possible to not jar that back. Most importantly though, have fun!
We will be running the workout every Thursday evening upon release of the workout and at every class tomorrow (friday) and then one more time on Sunday at high noon. If you are unable to do the workout during these time and need to do it at another time you must contact Justin or myself to make arrangements. Please don’t just show up at random times or during another class on an off day to do the workout. Please be courteous of this and this is the only time I want to bring this up.

The Open Workout’s will be posted a little later than the regular 8pm posting. I apologize but I’ll be at the gym until the first group taking on the workout is done.

If we qualify a team this year for Regionals in Nashville, TN the 4 males and 4 females will be selected based on their rankings in the North Central Region. This is different from past years so if you have any questions please talk to me.

Workout 17.1
For time:
10 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
20 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
30 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
40 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
50 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs

Men use 50-lb. dumbbell and 24-in. box
Women use 35-lb dumbbell and 20-in. box
Time cap: 20 minutes

Note: verify your dumbbell weight and box height if you are not a male or female within the 18-34 year Rx range.
