YETI

I want to give quick shoutout to Ty, Jordan, Jared, Josie, Islie and Miss Lily Spry as they make their way with their way to Atlanta to throw some weight over their heads at the 2017 USAW National Youth Championships. These kids have been in the gym nearly everyday sacrificing their own time to train. It is very impressive to see young kids with passion towards their craft like these 4. From their amazing parents and I meant amazing to their coaches that have not only coached but designed the programming for these kids. Sorry about the language but kick some ass! We will have updates coming soon so we can let you know when you can tune in to watch each lifter on the good old internet.

Starting in July, we will be changing up our membership structure to offer multiple specialty classes for our athletes. Each class will be lead by a coach with certifications in that particular field. We’re offering several more class times to make it easier for athletes to attend them.

Here’s a breakdown of what classes we’ll be adding:
Weightlifting/Barbell:
Focusing on the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk, the Weightlifting class builds not only strength, but technique when it comes to moving weight. Foundational movements including various squats as well as accessory work will increase any athlete’s capabilities with a barbell.
Gymnastics: Utilizing connectivity and calisthenics, athletes will learn to control their bodies in space and increase their gymnastics abilities. Common focuses are on Handstand Pushups/Handstand Walking, Muscle Ups, core strength and stability.
Yoga: Work to increase your body’s range of motion and flexibility, as well as stability and balance. We have a dedicated Yoga studio in our building that sets the mood, but doesn’t segregate you from the action.
Pilates:
This is one of the best ways to increase foundational strength of the body. Working on small muscles that stabilize us is vastly overlooked by many athletes. Attend this class to get an eye opener on your current fitness level!

The membership fees are monthly as follows:
Unlimited Specialty Classes – Full use of all scheduled Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Yoga and Pilates $150

*Athletes with a CrossFit membership receive a 50% discount on the Unlimited Specialty Class program $75

Current Green Bay Barbell Club Members – Your membership will transfer over to the Unlimited Specialty Class membership and will grant you access to additional coached hours for weightlifting and the ability to attend any other specialty class as well.

We are also hammering out details on a punch card option for athletes that cannot make it to many classes each month.

Email Justin.Peterson@gbcrossfit.com to sign up or if you have any questions.

Will there be an 8:15am wod?!?🤞🏻

3:00 for 25 UB pull-ups and 5-4-1 MUs, 10 minutes for a 4 mile Assault Bike due to inflamed heels and arches from triple unders (3 mile Assault was not long enough), 7-3 MUs and 15-8-2 on last set of pull-ups. Odd number of people, so I deadlifted by myself which I was cool with - 275,295,315,335,9 out of 10 @ 345 (rested and hit the final rep) *4.) complete in 19:25 - Bar MUs with as little kip as possible (still a significant kip) and all singles on the Strict Parallette HSPUs / Practiced free-standing HSPUs after and I got 8 UB! PR!
