2017 Granite Games Week 2 Qualifier 2 & 3

Disclaimer: this is not toward any person(s) I just smell the scent of insecurity amongst many. Read it, ponder it and take it where you will. 
CrossFit Green Bay is held together with the fact that myself, my family and our coaching staff all really give a hoot about you, even though most days you feel like we hate you. We don’t hate you we just really dislike poor movement because of the negative effects it has on you and your progress at CFGB. We are one giant family no matter if you like it or not, the good and the bad. It’s our own little world here and we can do what we want! Now outside of the gym we all have lives too and hang out with certain people and not with others, the exact opposite of this gym where natural and occasionally forced interaction with everyone occurs. Back to outside the gym, if you see people doing a tough mudder, garage workouts, going out on the town (do people still say that?) or whatever and you’re not invited what do you do? Create a negative opinion of the people doing the stuff, poo poo all over the idea and be sad all to yourself or do you go out of your element and go to them? I promise the reception you get will surprise you and now the people being their own little groups are not so bad and all you had to do was interact on your own a little bit, building self confidence along the way. 
Have fun on these workouts today and I apologize for the back to back toes to bar. You will live though and if you’re anything like me we need all the practice we can get with them.

Sometimes it takes stepping back from [good at] everything for a bit to really appreciate it. CFGB is different because of the post above on many different levels.

Beginning on a 4-minute clock:

12 overhead squats (95/65lbs)
12 toes to bar
If completed before 4 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

10 overhead squats (135/95lbs)
12 toes to bar
If completed before 8 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

8 overhead squats (165/115lbs)
