Machoke

So, before I left for basic I will admit my mind was going in a million different directions.  From leaving my family for 4 months, leaving my gym, going to the CrossFit games, a new house and a million other things including my diminishing CrossFit abilities.  I ignored my aches and pains for months prior to leaving.  I know, I know I yell at all of you almost on a daily basis about you not ignoring your bodies indicators telling you something is wrong but I was guilty of not following my own advice.  Big mistake!  I got through basic and I pushed myself to keep up with all the young bucks and I was fairly successful but it took a very large toll on my body.  My Achilles were a mess, my shoulders were locked in a constant dysfunctional position and my hip was for as far as I knew shot to the point of no return.  CrossFit was not fun when I got back because I was extremely limited due to my body and it brought me to my mental limits. I decided to do something about it and spent the next month and a half seeing Grant at Howard Chiropractic, getting dry needled by Eric Wallace at Cornerstone Chiropractic and I followed through with mobility on my own.  Once I started to heal there was one last thing missing.  My diet.  I fell off the wagon hard when I returned and I decided when the Packers were done with their season I would commit 100% to my diet.  Sadly for them they lost in the championship game but that loss was the turning point for me.  Since that day I have seen my attitude and abilities rise at a rate I have never experienced before.  A healthy body is an amazing thing and you can do things that you had no idea you were capable of.  This leads me to this great news:
We are partnering with Aurora BayCare Orthopedics & Sports Medicine as our sports medicine provider.  They are here to help us with any injuries, big or small, and getting us back to the job at hand, keeping our bodies healthy.  These providers are here for you at no cost.
