Game Time

The 2016 CrossFit Games Central Regional kicks off tomorrow morning at 9am. Just a little under 3 months ago the Open began and as usual this little gym of ours got to do what we do best, compete. Everyone was curious if we’d be able to make it back to regionals without the scores of Ashley. Ashley and Justin decided to start a family and the games would have to wait for next year. I pondered not making it to regionals for the first time in 5 years at first when I heard the news but then I quickly remembered that CFGB is full of athletes just waiting to step up and get their chance to compete. Step up they did. I couldn’t be prouder of our Team CFGB rookies Alyssa, Chuck and Derek. They knew what they had to do and they worked their asses off to get it.  Our veterans Tina a 5 time regional competitor, Garrett, 3 time and Anna, 3 time and one more as an individual before joining CFGB. All three were on the CrossFit Games team in 2014 and with their experience helped guide this group to being the most cohesive team yet that I’ve gotten the honor of coaching. This weekend is going to have its ups and downs but no matter what when Sunday afternoon comes I know that this team will be standing tall, smiles and all. I am proud to call CrossFit Green Bay my gym but I’m even prouder to know that Tina, Garrett, Anna, Chuck, Alyssa and Derek are the ones representing CrossFit Green Bay. Kick ass gang. 
Heat times for today’s events are as follows:
Event 1 – 10:15am
Event 2 – 11:15am
Event 3 – 12:05pm
