Open Workout 16.3

Well, we finally got em. Bar Muscle Up’s. There are going to be lot’s of first timers these next couple days including myself. This is one of those movements I’ve hid from for a while and now it’s time to you know what or get off the you know where. I’m going to get one and so will anyone else that wants it. This workout is a good reminder that we are trying to build strong hands. Hands that can hold up day in and day out. Rips scream to me of inconsistent hand position on the bar. Knuckles parallel to the ceiling every time. You do that every time I see you do pull-ups and I’ll lay off the thumb wrapping. For a little while anyways. Take care of them at night as well. Get some simple ass lotion and apply to hands. Being able to play on bars are fun but tearing hands to shreds on them are not. Do not do that, fix your movement flaws and magic will happen.

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 7 minutes of:
10 power snatches
3 bar muscle-ups

Men use 75 lb.
Women use 55 lb.
