WOD 151014

So we were supposed to be doing 75% Back Squat today but since this is Jake's last day coaching and working out for a while we are going to do Kutschbach instead. I like to break rules:) So, Jake Roberts stepped in the doors at CFGB in January, 2012 I believe we were doing Thompson. I was concerned he didn't know how to squat or anything for that matter. He took care of that worry the first squat I saw him do. The boy moved like an angel and he was like a little brother the moment I met him. Anyways, Jake was an amazing athlete from the start and with a few tweaks here and there today is is exponentially better with one minor flaw. A broken shoulder. He's worked around it for years and did just fine even representing CFGB at the 2013 North Central Regional's on the team but it's time to get it fixed. Once that shoulder is fixed lookout male competitors of CFGB because Roberts will be on the hunt for that No. 1 spot. He'll be coaching early classes and late classes today so get your butts in and wish him well on his surgery.
KUTSCHBACH
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Patrick Kutschbach, of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, died Nov. 10, 2007, in Bagram, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when his vehicle was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade and small-arms fire in Tagab Valley, Afghanistan. The 25-year-old was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group in Germany. Kutschbach is survived by his wife, Ginger; son, Bastian; father, David; mother, Debbie Huffner; and brothers, David and Andrew.
