WOD 151005

The Wisconsin Open went off without a hitch this weekend thanks to this little village of ours. Everyone that came out on their own time to volunteer was beyond gracious. Theresa, Sal, Sean, Scott, Becky, Chad, Grace, Michelle, Josie, Jared, Don, Kim, Larry, Jake, Hillary, AJ, Charlie, Bud, Skully, Emma and Isle helped make this event one of the best I've seen. (If I missed someone please let me know) Also, a big thank you to Milwaukee Barbell and all the out of town volunteer judges. To our head coach of Green Bay Barbell, Ty Krueger well done. Ty and I met for breakfast when I got back from basic a little under a year ago to discuss starting a barbell club and in under a year we went from eating some eggs and bacon to hosting the Wisconsin Open. All the proceeds from this weekend are going to go to purchasing equipment for the club and we will grow Green Bay Barbell into a world class weightlifting club. Over the next couple weeks you will see the barbell area of the gym become a full time area where members will be able to lift whenever the gym is open. It's an exciting time to be a part of this gym as we evolve with CrossFit Green Bay and Green Bay Barbell. Also, to our lifters Anna, 2x state record holder, Bud, second place by 1kg, Charlie, Kim, Larry, Jim, Alex and Jason congratulations on your accomplishments this weekend. Your hard work over these last months is something to be proud of. I know myself and Ty are extremely proud. Well done all!
