Ying or Yang

One comment I’ve heard I receive from others from other gyms is Grant is only looking for and cares about the next CrossFit Games athlete. Now I must admit that I am quite intrigued by getting my athletes back to Carson but that is not the only thing I care about. I care about making every person that steps through my doors believe that they indeed can make the games someday. I am perfectly honest about what the expectations are in order to do such a thing but no shit I honestly believe every one of you have the potential to make the games. Since I believe as I do I also coach and program with the same thoughts. I will not look down on you or treat you any differently if you want to be healthy with no games dreams in your head. Note that I will not treat you any different. I will train you to be the best no matter who you are. This gym was built around creating excellence and thanks to my great staff of coaches we continue to build off of that principle. Next time you hear someone saying that we are this or that you should hop in your car and drop in for a workout to see how snobby or games addicted we are here at CFGB. You may be pleasantly surprised to what you actually find.
A brand new On Ramp begins today. Classes run for 1 hour at 6:15am or 7:15pm. 4 weeks 12 classes and you can be on your way to joining in on the fun provided daily at CrossFit Green Bay.
You worry too much about what others say. The abilities of all your athletes speak for you.

BAHAHA! Whoever has said that clearly doesn't know you, Grant. You, along with all of the coaches, have spent so much time helping me improve movements, working on nutrition, pushing me beyond limits I set on myself, and have constantly made me feel as valuable to the box as your top athletes. It's part of what makes CFGB so unique and amazing! Thanks for all you do!

I'd say our environment is pretty egalitarian, actually. I've never felt pressured to compete except with myself. I have less than zero desire to train at the level required to get to Carson-my goals are different. I'm constantly impressed with how well our coaches know us, and know what we want...whether that's to stand on a podium or just prevent our 39 year old asses from sliding down to our knees.

No place I'd rather be. I have NEVER felt like I was treated differently because I'm not elite. I get just as much attention as every other athlete and every single coach knows my strengths and my weaknesses. On another note: why WOULDNT you want to create games athletes?! What football coach doesn't want a championship team? What gymnastics coach doesn't dream of sending an athlete to the olympics. If the point isn't to strive to be the best than what is it? You have hundreds of members who think of this place as home, the coaches and athletes as family. Not much more you can ask for. Screw everyone else 😘
