Today was such an incredible experience as my athletes Josie and Islie took on their first national competition. The result was nothing more than a mirror of the hard work and dedication these two and their amazing families have put in over the last year. Both athletes stepped on the national stage with poise and relentless focus. Islie finished a with Snatch PR and a 3rd place placement in the 11 and under division. Josie broke all three of her Wisconsin State Records with PRs in both the Snatch and Clean and Jerk earning her a 5th place over all out of 17 total lifers! Josie was also only one of two lifters to go 6 of 6 in the entire session. Time to celebrate with some Texas BBQ!
I watched every lift and I couldn’t be once again more proud of these two young athletes, their coach and their parents. Congratulations Josie and Islie you have represented Green Bay Barbell like seasoned verterans.
Want to send out a note to Cassie taking on her first Rx competition qualifying for the Dakota Games. To Ralinda who is once again running some crazy distance for the fun of it. I believe its an 8 hour ultra marathon and she’s looking to run 30-40 miles. It’s going to be hot so don’t die please:) Kick some ass ladies!

1.) Every 2 minutes until failure 25 Double Unders 1 Snatch
Start at 50% 1RM adding 10lb each minute until failure.
Note: Double Unders should not take you any longer than 30 seconds so scale accordingly.
Also, if your snatch max is under 100lbs, only add 5lbs each 2 minutes.
