What Easter means to Christians:
Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.
But what if you're not Christian can you not still take the message of Easter and apply it to you? I think too many times we are so concerned what God we believe in or don't believe in that we totally look past the words being spoken to us. Love thy neighbor, don't steal, don't kill, treat others as you want to be treated, etc. does that only apply to certain people or can it apply to everyone whether you worship God, Allah, the sun, or a goat with 3 horns.
As Easter comes and goes today know this, someone has died for you. Either directly or indirectly someone has given their life for you. Thank a soldier, a police officer, firefighter today if you get a chance because like Jesus did for his believers these men and women are willing to put their lives on the line for you as well no matter who you are.
Happy Easter
